KAREN FASANO J.D., LL.M
Ms. Fasano received her B.A. from Rice University where she was a Scholar Athlete and recipient of an NCAA Division I Volleyball Athletic Scholarship. While at Rice, she gained significant legal experience as a Corporate Law Intern for Weil, Gotshal & Manges in the Houston Office.
Ms. Fasano received her J.D. from Seton Hall University where she was named the Director of Appellate Advocacy, the Eugene Gressman Moot Court Champion, the recipient of the Moot Court Best Oralist Award, a member of Legislative Bureau, and she was a student advocate at the Family Law Clinic. She also studied at the Università di Bologna in Bologna, Italy, and Universität Wien, in Vienna, Austria, as part of her J.D. curriculum. Ms. Fasano received her LL.M in International and Comparative Law from the University of Iowa where she graduated with the highest distinction. She wrote extensively for the Center for International Finance and Development and published multiple articles and e-book chapters. Ms. Fasano’s publications have been cited and included in curriculums at academic institutions including: Auckland International College, New Zealand; UCLA, Los Angeles, California; Université Libra de Bruxelles, Belgium; University of Zagreb, Croatia; University of Koblenz Landau, Germany; Tapindu Institute of Higher Studies, Patna, India; University of Wroclaw, Poland; University of Bucharest, Romania; Masaryk Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia; and Babes-Bolyai University, Romania.
Ms. Fasano's legal career spans over two decades and she has successfully litigated cases before the trial and appellate courts. She is a relentless and dedicated advocate for her clients. She is admitted to the New Jersey Bar, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the Western District of Texas. Ms. Fasano completed mediation training at the University of Texas Center for Public Policy Dispute Resolution.
Prior to earning her J.D., Ms. Fasano was an Investment Banking Financial Analyst for Credit Suisse and Vice President, Fixed Income Capital Markets for UBS, both in New York City. Ms. Fasano utilizes her broad understanding of of the financial services industry and global capital markets in addressing complex financial valuations, compensation arrangements, and asset analysis for her clients.
Ms. Fasano is active in several domestic and international non-profit organizations.
